Andheri , One of the famous Suburb in Mumbai




Andheri is located in western Mumbai. It is an suburb. Its stands on the fifth position among the western suburbs. Andheri is also divided into two sections i.e. East and West. These two sections are divided by railway line.
Andheri has population more than 1 million as per the census. West Andheri is largely a residential area and East Andheri is a mixture of commercial and residential area. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport , is an international airport which is located in East Andheri.


It has also a railway station in Mumbai Suburban Railways, Western line. It has also inter city transportation local trains and buses which connects various places in Mumbai and outside Mumbai. Many outsourcing companies and call centers are also located in Andheri in Chakala area.
Jet Airways head office is the S.M Center in Andheri. Also Kingfisher and Go Air have there head offices in Andheri. Andheri's East and West areas house some of the biggest and well known malls and software companies in the whole of Mumbai.

  Andheri Sports Complex named as Shahaji Raje Krida Sankul is also located in Veera Desai road ,Andheri which  is a sports facility which has also played host to a number of Bollywood and other entertainment functions. The Hansraj Morarji Public School in Andheri West is considered as one of the top schools in Mumbai topping many inter school competitions, academic or sport.
Also Andheri named movie is there which is filmed by USC graduate student Sushrut Jain about the plight of a poor live-in maid in Mumbai, India. The area of Andheri is lined with the restaurants, coffee shops, pizza parlor, subways. It is the best place for those who loves dining out.

There are many Hotels in Andheri East and west as well. As Mumbai is the very famous city , It has many visitors from all over the world. Many of them prefer area of Andheri to stay. Several Hotels are there which provide quality service in a reasonable rate.
