Hyderabad City

Hyderabad, which is almost 500 years old, is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. The city's history starts with the establishment of the Qutb Shahi empire when Quli Qutb Shah grab the power from the Bahamani Kingdom in 1512, and establishing the city of Golconda. There are a many tourist attractions in Hyderabad, a city with such old history and a rich blending of cultures. This "city of pearls" has heritage monuments, parks, lakes, gardens, museums, resorts museum and delectable cuisine that lure tourists.


Geographical location: The geographical location of Hyderabad city is 17.20 N Latitude and 78.30 E Longitude. It is located on the Deccan Plateau. Hyderabad city has an average altitude of about 536 m above the sea level. Most of the regions have rocky terrain.

Falaknuma Palace : The last Nizam who ruled the Hyderabad built the Falaknuma Palace, which housed the most expensive art objects, carpets and tapestries, in addition to the largest single-man collection of diamonds. Here the Nizam received their Majesties, the late King Edward VIII and King George V of England. The museum also has a very unique collection of jades. The dining table in the palace can occupied up to 100 people at a time.


Nehru Zoological Park : The offcial zoo of the Hyderabad city is Nehru Zoological Park. The zoo resides variety of animals that live here without any fear and under right supervision. The inhabitants of the zoo include Asiatic Lion, Indian Rhino, Tigers, Antelopes, Hedgehogs, and Leopard Cats among many others.
